How We Do It
Reflections from Track Meet # 2 1.) Our primary girls and boys (5-8) year old's are catching on very quickly. They stayed in their lanes and ran through the finish line. Some of them even figured out that the 400 m is the same distance regardless of what lane you are in. Congrats to those who won medals and ribbons.
2.) Chase showed great leadership. He made sure that all of the primary boys were where they were supposed to be in preparation for the start of the races.
3.) DK is a beast. The reigning national champion dominated in the sub-batum division (9 YR OLD)receiving 1st place medals in the 100,200 and 400.
4.) The bantum boys (10 yr olds) are very talented. They have a 4 x400m relay A and B team who ran beautifully this past Sat. Sam, Coby, Bryson and Blue ran a 5:24. DK, Carson, James and Jereme ran a 4:54. They both received medals.
5.) Dania Guidry (11 yr old division) is a super talented athlete. She won the 400m ( of course), but also received a metal in the 200 and 100 ( she has not ran the 100 in years). She is a 400, 800, 1500 m former national champion.
6.) Darian Sankey ran great in the 100m, he was victorious over Micah Wanza after losing to him last week. He finished 2nd in the 200 and 400 as well.
7.) She's baaaaaaack. Keshawna "TT" Scott 10 time Junior Olympic Medalist who took a year off to play AAU basketball, ran a 60.0 in the 400 and 26.2 ( She's not in shape) in the 200 to win in the 14 yr old division
8.) Samuel has alot of heart. He won the 800m dash (10yr old division) for the 2nd week in a row.
9.) Congrats to Micah Swanson who survived a massive growth spurt to finish 2nd in the 100 and first in the shot put. (11 yr old division). He never gave up!
10.) SEBASTIAN AND MICAH MIGHT AND THEIR OTHER FRIEND (THEY CURRENTLY RUN UNATTACHED) MAY JOIN THE NORTHSIDE STRIDERS WHICH WOULD CREATE A POTENTIAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 4X100, 4X400M RELAY TEAM IN THE MIDGET DIVISION.........................
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THE NORTHSIDE STRIDERS........A TEAM WHERE CHAMPIONS RUN.
